Experience
From May 2024 to the present, I have been working as a bank teller at the 360 Federal Credit Union. As a bank teller, I was responsible for handling over $15,000.00 while keeping a detailed record of all transactions. This experience taught me how to solve problems and adapt quickly under pressure. In the fast-paced environment of the credit union, I learned how to communicate well and provide the best customer service possible, while accurately performing all different tasks like deposits and issuing official checks.
From May 2023 until July 2023 I worked as a caterer for the company K & Co. At this job, I was responsible for arranging event spaces for 150-200 guests a night and managing all liquor sales plus the tip out for my other coworkers. Managing liquor sales gave me lots of experience with cash handling and made me comfortable with handling money. Arranging the spaces and handling the tip out helped me create better communication skills, time management, and overall planning. This helped me be successful in my roles without letting my coworkers down.
Women in Business is a club at Florida State, of which I have been a member since September 2022. Women in Business is a professional development organization founded to give women the tools and strength to succeed in college and in the future. Since joining Women in Business I have learned a lot about marketing yourself, professionalism, and communication. However, I have also learned that I am interested in project management and practiced different management techniques with my classmates. Women in Business encourages lots of team collaboration and has helped me become a more successful individual.
